  1. I am not sure but I may have read that about 300 rpm is needed to start but this useful link suggests at least 150 rpm http://www.knowyourparts.com/technical-articles/diesel-start-diagnosis/ . The fuel pressure seems ok and earlier coastline had said 260 bar is needed so low fuel pressure is probably not the fault.
  2. This is the egr valve http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EGR-Valve-1628XP-Peugeot-Citroen-807-C8-7-28069-04-0-/111054874179 and this is the doser valve http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Intercoolers-Hose-Citroen-C5-Peugeot-607-2-2HDI-0345-A8-0345A8-Original-/131557375281
  3. Before I would consider removing the dash I would be at a dealer getting them to find the problem with a diagnostic. According to the Haynes manual there is a lot to do to remove the dash including removing the steering wheel and air bag, central console, wiper motor, radio and surrounds - far more than can be put on here in a couple of minutes. Removal and refitting is about a 4 hour job at a dealer.
  4. Welcome to the forum. Have you tried a Citroen dealer for the part ? If you use the Citroen part number rather than the part maker's number you could try a search on such as ebay. I had a quick look at the parts diagrams but could not find the part in your picture but you can have a look yourself. 5. Welcome to the forum. I think 1 connector is for the horn and the other 2 may be for the air bag. If the air bag light has come on then it is possible it may need a diagnostic to turn the light off, but I would wait until everything is back together and tried before deciding this. If you have moved the driver's seat then you should also check any connectors under the seat in case they have been disturbed. Note that any work involving the air bag should be done with the battery disconnected and then waiting at least 10 minutes to avoid any possibility of it going off.
  6. Welcome to the forum. Citroen's procedures lower the engine out but that will be since a garage would use a hoist for the car and it will be easier. If you do not get any definite replies on here or on any other forums (there is a Berlingo one), then the Haynes manual will have the info.
  7. This will just be a warning message rather than a fault code stored by the ecu so it will not need resetting. On the fronts you could try disconnecting the sensor wires and seeing if the message stops, then you know which way in the wiring to check.
  8. May be you have not connected everything back such as an electrical connector or a pipe.
  9. You could also check if the rear brakes have a low warning in case these have worn down.
  10. If possible I would collect a door from a scrap yard then you can be sure of its condition, you do not want to be removing dents and painting if you can help it. The colour on a later car may be a problem, I have a C5 brochure for 2003 and for 2006 and storm grey is not listed. So you may end up having to get any old colour and painting it.
  11. Citroen pipes usually have coloured tabs in them which should be pushed down whilst pulling the pipe off.
  12. Just checked the procedure against the 120 bhp engine and the procedure is the same except to lock the engine it says to put in first gear and then fasten a long bar on the front right wheel hub in place of the wheel and to hold this. Also the engine should be cold so the drive belt is not damaged.
  13. Citroen's procedures say to remove the crank pulley 2 bolts furthest from the steering pump and slacken the 1 nearest by 2 cm. Then pivot the pulley off. When refitting, fit the last bolt and the belt and then rotate the steering pump pulley clockwise to turn the crank pulley so the other 2 bolts can be inserted. The 3 bolts should be done up 45 Nm and then 120 degrees. It says to lock the flywheel but a long screwdriver held between the 3 bolts on the pulley might be enough to stop it turning. It also says the pulley should be checked to see if it is warped using a special tool, but being a new pulley it should be ok. If you have aircon, then before undoing the crank pulley bolts, the aircon belt tensioner needs to be released using a square pegged tool to turn it anti clockwise and then using a pin in the tensioner at the top to hold it. I have edited your profile and put your van info as your signature since it helps when help is needed and saves you mentioning it each time. I do not know the engine power so you can add this later but for the above have assumed it to be 100 bhp. I have slackened crank pulley single bolts by putting a spanner/socket on them with the other end on the floor or a suspension bit and giving a quick flick of the starter motor - not advisable but it has worked. A flywheel locking tool would be best but I have never had any success putting it in gear and with the brakes on. Some of the Citroen engines need a special procedure to undo these bolts if they get tight as they are undone, otherwise they can snap.
  14. The depollution error could be linked to it being remapped but if you used a code reader it should tell you what it thinks is wrong. From the 1.6 hdi C4s we've had, 60 mpg seems about right for A/B roads, it is round town when the fuel consumption gets bad. It would also be noticeable in the 20 mile stretch of 50 mph roadworks on the M62 where fuel economy would increase a lot but then drop down once back up to 70 mph.
  15. Is the colour name right, we had a 2004 C5 and that was hurricane grey metallic ? Maybe you could post the colour paint code. If it helps, the rear left door on the mark 1 and 2 hatchback are the same part number 9006A0 but they are different to the estate.
  16. Should be ok to use in your car, otherwise Tesco would not be allowed to sell it. A search has some comparisons with other premium fuels and it seems to have been around for a few years so any problems would have come to light by now. If you try it maybe you can come back and give a quick report.
  17. What is a squib ? Link to your other topic about the squib http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/23789-squib-problems/
  18. You could also put the post in your own language as well as your translation.
  19. Do you have the VIN - if so this can be used in the Citroen parts diagrams to get the engine number provided it is still the original. To do this register on the service.citroen site as an other professional non emergency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Then once on the site put the VIN (VIS) top left to find your vehicle. In the left column look under Characteristics and then all the info will be revealed. http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres - you may need to select your language first. You could always put your VIN on here temporarily and it can be looked up for you.
  20. Welcome to the forum. The first post is a bit confusing. You say it does not start back up but instead it stalls - for it to stall it must have started back up. If the car is going in to eco mode (if you mean when it stops things like the radio to prevent the battery going flat) then the battery must not be charged up enough which could mean it is due for replacing - but if the battery needs charging it should not stop the engine. I have read on here that the battery on stop/start cars may not last that long, the alternator/starter may not last long and that both these items are very expensive. We also had a case of the battery exploding but the cause has not yet been determined by Citroen. First you could check the battery voltage and its connections and then you will need the diagnostic check.
  21. I am not sure about the battery symbol since it is not mentioned in our C4 handbook, but the radios often have a battery fastened at the back of them. Possibly this has not fully charged yet. If it does not clear I would go back to the dealer since it may need replacing and they are only available at high cost from a dealer. The symbol next to the battery one is to do with connecting a phone. We bought the jack kit for our 2011 C4 from a dealer and it looks like the one in your ebay link. Including the wheel and tyre it was about £200. There is also a fastening mechanism available to hold the plastic tray to the boot floor. Make sure you get the yellow plastic tool used to pull the chrome caps off the wheel bolts, they are only about £3 from a dealer. The Citroen jacks have a groove at the top that the jacking point on the sill seam sits on, the jack in John's link does not have this so the sill would rest on the top of the jack - something to consider when choosing a jack. If you have a separate wheel brace it needs a 17mm socket, preferably a 6 point one. The Citroen C4 jack is not that good but for occasional use it copes. The end of the handle can easily catch the sill/door and scratch it so I put some heat shrink sleeving on ours. The jack for the C5 2001 to 2008 model is a stronger jack and better design as well as easier to use since the winding handle is separate - as an example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-C5-2003-JACK-SET-/322077135780?fits=Model%3AC5&hash=item4afd4b13a4:g:NRUAAOSw1DtXEopA The handle is in 2 parts, 1 hooks on the jack and the other is held to this with a socket at its end. In this link the seller also includes a single winding handle but that is not normally part of the jack. For some reason the C5 jack for the 2004 to 2008 C5 is priced less than the earlier one. A while back I was looking at jack prices from a dealer against Citroen part nos: Mark 1 C5, 672591 £43, mark 2 C5 67596 £23, both plus the brace 671742 £6, extension 671738 £4, tray 673685 £21. C4 jack 672594 £25, tray 673695 £29.
  22. Welcome to the forum. In your handbook it will give the minimum octane rating of the petrol required. If you go for a higher octane rating the engine will probably perform a bit better since it will not need to retard the timing a bit to prevent pinking. Whether or not you notice any difference to justify the higher cost is a different matter. Tesco themselves suggest you will get better fuel economy of a few per cent when compared to their normal unleaded petrol https://www.tescopfs.com/our-fuels/tesco-momentum99
  23. This might be nothing to do with it but we had a 2.0 hdi Picasso and the engine cover rubbed on wiring at one side so I cut a bit off it to avoid future problems. The cover mountings also seemed to fail so something also to check.
  24. From the parts diagrams it looks as if the bumper skirt might possibly include the sensor mountings already fastened on since these do not appear separately. The skirt might be part no. 1606389180 or 1606389280 but this should be checked using your VIN. Did you have to break the mountings off the bumper ? You can look at the parts diagrams as a free service if you register on service.citroen as other professional non emergency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres You may need to select your language first but once on use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your car. The sensors appear under electrical and the bumpers under bodywork.
  25. It is part of the trip computer. Push the button on the end of the wiper stalk repeatedly to go through the different computer screens or hold it in to reset it back to zero miles. The screens usually are average mpg since the last reset, current mpg which will change as the accelerator pedal is used/different gears are used/speed changes, miles covered since last reset but at about 6250 miles (9999 km) it will stop going up and needs resetting, average speed, miles left at current mpg to an empty fuel tank. If you have the car handbook it will be in there.
