Probably best to look at the Citroen parts diagrams. Register on service.citroen http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres as an other professional non emergency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Use your VIN (VIS) top left once on the site to find your car. Then look under Mechanical, Engine, and then under the turbocharging section (turbo lubrication) and also under the air and fuel supply section. Many of the engine sensors are under Air/fuel supply and then Inj calculator sensor parts. Citroen's parts names are not that good and may just be sensor.

On the Petrol Diesel LPG section there is a list of fault codes and gives - P0238 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit High - so maybe there is a problem with the turbo boost sensor. This might be the sensor if you look for it somewhere near the turbo, but I am not sure if it is the problem but you can check the pipes to it are not damaged/split http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-CITROEN-1-6-2-0-HDI-Turbo-Vacuum-Boost-Solenoid-Valve-Genuine-1618C9-/331771116745 It might also be this one somewhere near the inlet manifold http://www.eurocarcare.net/various-engine-fittings/ecc1920cz-turbo-manifold-pressure-sensor.html - P1351 IDM Input Circuit Malfunction/ Ignition Coil Control Circuit High Voltage - which for a diesel probably means the glow plugs need replacing.

The oil filter plastic cover usually has the torque setting on it but it should be 25 Nm. The large O-ring seal should be replaced and is usually supplied with the new filter and a smear of oil on it helps when tightening. When you undo it, do it slowly so the filter will drain a bit before removal but a few tissues underneath and a bowl (or whatever you use to drain the oil in to) help reduce the mess as some oil will run out. The sump drain plug will need a new washer and a dealer I have found is the cheapest place to get one at under £1. Its torque setting may depend on which engine you have since there are a few different 2.0 hdi power outputs and whether you have a dpf but ones with an alloy sump seem to be 34 Nm and the 2.2 hdi with a steel sump seems to be 16 Nm.

I had a look in a handbook for a 2006 C4 and in the warning lights I could not see one for regeneration or blocked dpf. However, a warning message might possibly be given and if so you may find this in the log of alerts, seen through the menu.

Wax/polish - Best One To Hide Scratches

This should be an interesting topic, I have tried coloured polishes before including one with a coloured wax crayon and not had any luck in hiding the scratches. -

You need to search for parts using the Citroen part nos. rather than the manufacurer ones that are stamped on them. You can see the Citroen parts diagrams as a free service if you register on service.citroen as an other professional non emergency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres Once on the site you can use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your car. The door switch is likely to be under bodywork, tailgate. Parts from dealers are not always expensive and will be the correct ones and fit. I have tried pattern ones before and you may save a bit but they have not always fit properly or not performed as well.

You may end up needing to use a puller. You can get ones specifically for wiper arms or use a small general one, a google search on wiper arm puller tool brings up lots of options. When you refit the arm first clean up the corrosion on the shaft and use a smear of grease in case it needs removing again. Before removing it you should use a bit of masking tape along the line of the wiper blade on the glass to help position it correctly when refitting.

What year is the car, is the bodyshop quote close to the car value if in good condition ? If so you could negotiate with the insurer and have it written off.

If you have a handbook you could check what fuse f15 does but in the Haynes and the French RTA manuals they give F15 as a 15 amp fuse that does the engine management, injectors and electro valves. So if this fuse is blown then the car will not start so it may give you an idea of where to look. You may need to follow the wiring from the fuse and check for any damage/shorting to earth/bad connections/anything that could cause it to fail. Also try to check if it should only be 15 amps since if a higher rating is used the wiring could melt. In the wiring diagrams in the RTA manual fuse 15 appears as a supply for - the speed sensor - the doser valve - the egr valve - air pressure regulation - may be the turbo - HP fuel pump - swirl valve actuator - the engine ecu - electrovalve air heating - not sure what this is

Relays are usually built into the engine fusebox. Also in this are some maxi fuses under the top layer of fuses.

The saloon and estate have the same Citroen part nos so it should fit, as John has said, nearside (left) is 7009N8 and offside (right) 7010X0 and the clips and plastic rivets that hold it on are 703024 and 9341PF. I do not know if the ebay price at £50 inc postage is cheap and you should check the new cost at a dealer. Welcome to the forum. This is from the C5 technical section Common Problems topic, item 10 and it may help: In the May 2015 Car Mechanics magazine there is an excellent article by Rob Marshall where he dismantles a 2004 to 2008 C5 heating system with climate control to replace broken heater flaps (the shaft on one had broken completely and the other was breaking). This involves removing the dash and then the heater unit from the car and then fitting new flaps from a dealer (6480E3 for dual zone and 6480E4 for mono system, both £58.53). There are 63 photos showing all the steps.

These are just guesses but you may end up needing to try a Citroen dealer: - you could check all the fuses are the correct rating since you would expect a fuse to blow before any wiring melts - look for any wiring damage such as bare wires which might be touching the bodywork or around the steering wheel/column - remove the horn fuse and disconnect the horn in case it is faulty and check the wiring to it is not damaged - try the comms unit without the horn wire connected if this is possible - there will be a relay in the engine fusebox for the horn and possibly this is faulty but I do not know if it could be replaced - possibly the rotary contact below the comms unit is faulty

Welcome to the forum. By storm damage I guess you mean a tree or something fell on the car. I would have thought the repair would be covered by your car insurance unless you are not claiming. I would imagine a bodyshop would pull out those dents or at worst cut out the damage and weld in a new bit. To replace the complete side panel is not really necessary and would make the job far more expensive. To check you really need to visit a bodyshop. If the car still has a Citroen warranty then you may need to use a Citroen dealer unless you use your car insurer preferred repairer. As a guide to cost, we had a 1 inch deep by 12 inch long sill dent pulled out where the car had clipped a kerb and the dealer charged £439 - we may have got it cheaper elsewhere but the car was less than a year old and we needed to maintain the warranty.

The compressor clutch can be replaced on them but a look at the parts diagrams shows they are only available for some of the different compressors used. So you would need to identify the compressor on your car which may be by using your VIN in the parts diagrams.

2.2 Hdi Diesel Additive System.. Some One Must Know...

You can put the additive in yourself but to reset any low additive messages requires the additive ecu counter to be reset with a diagnostic. On the C5 section people have said if there is additive in the tank it will continue to be dosed when the low level message is given, so the dpf will not block up so the ecu does not need to be reset. -
If the fuse did not blow on the old pump then the wiring is probably ok unless it was damaged during the pump change. What fuse rating are you using, a look in a C8 handbook gives 10 amp which will be to protect the wiring rather than the pump. The pump itself will take whatever current it needs to run, whether or not the wiring can take it and if more than the fuse rating, the fuse will blow. You could try a higher rating fuse than 10 amps but then risk the wiring melting.

I often take photos of things when in bits / uncovered / before dismantling if I am likely to need to remember what something looked like. On a car something like the rear drum brakes is worth doing before starting to remove the shoe springs.

Did the fuse fail with the old pump and why did you replace the old pump ? Is the new pump the same Citroen part or a pattern one that may have a higher current draw ? Next things to consider are: - damage to the wiring so it is touching the bodywork and shorting to earth, - a blockage in the washer piping so the water is not going anywhere, - the possibility the new pump is faulty.
