  1. If you try pushing down a bit on the door when it is closing to help overcome any resistance, does that help ?
  2. The handbrake switch is under the handbrake lever. If you pull up the lever surround you should see it. Try pushing its switch to see if that works but if not, disconnect its wiring plug and if the light then goes out you know the switch needs replacing.
  3. Our C4 started to give poor acceleration whilst still under warranty so the Citroen dealer did a diagnostic which found a U code pointing to a fault in the fuse unit fastened to the battery. After fitting a new one it was then ok. Whether that gave a low voltage I do not know since I did not have a diagnostic tool. To drop 2 volts could be a poor connection, a wiring fault or component but possibly not within the bit you already had replaced.
  4. The brake deflector brackets are the same parts (482810 left and 482811 right) on the C5 to 2008 model so you could have a look at cars not as old as yours for the bits.
  5. I would have a look on the Picasso Owners site, there is a link to it on the home page of this forum.
  6. I have not done this job but that is all it seems to be, - check the ride height, disconnect the battery, slacken the bolt on the height sensor arm clamp on the anti roll bar and adjust the position of the clamp on the anti roll bar, retighten its bolt, connect the battery and check the ride height again. Marking the clamp/anti roll bar position before starting will help. The ride height needs to be within 10 mm of the recommended height and then the final adjustment done with the Lexia diagnostic. If the height is set too high the struts may not be able to raise the car to the new max height and the pump might not stop running. If it is adjusted with the battery still connected, the car might try to adjust the height whilst you are doing the work making it tricky but if the car is on a ramp it may not matter. If the car is on the ground axle stands must be used under the car body to avoid the risk of being squashed.
  7. It might be the door locks have dead locked so even if you break a window the doors will still not unlock using such as the dash lock button. We had a 2003 C3 and on the remote 1 push of the lock button dead locked it and a second just locked it still allowing the locks to be undone from inside. This is opposite to normal on car locks and later C3s but you could look in your handbook to check. I guess you do not have a spare remote key to try. If you have to break a window it will need to be one that lets you get to the ignition switch so you can put the key in to start the engine and reach the gear lever to put it in neutral. I would also check availability of windows first in case they are not all available and whilst at the dealer ask for some advice.
  8. Have you checked if the pump fuse is ok ? On our old 2003 C3 the pump fuse would blow if the washers were used in freezing conditions and the washer jets had frozen. The Haynes manual does not say which fuse it is but your handbook will list it. In the on-line handbook for 2005 to 2009 models it gives the fuse as in the engine fuse box and fuse F14 and 10 amp rating (should be red colour).
  9. According to the Haynes manual, to get to it you need to remove the front right hand wheel arch liner after removing that wheel. The pump is held in a grommet. So should not be difficult. If the problem is the washer pump only squirts water out the back then it could simply be the pipe/nozzles at the pump are blocked.
  10. This is from the Common Problems topic: 44. How to check the suspension spheres. This topic contains useful information from coastline taxis on how to check which sphere is at fault if the suspension is hard http://www.citroen-o...ues/#entry83812
  11. After searching a couple of other things to check - see what you have set the speed limiter at in case it is set to On and at a speed you normally exceed. You might expect a warning message for this though. - on Berlingos they seem to suffer from the radio beeping if it loses its code and it can be reset by holding in its Menu button or switching the car off for a while but a software update should fix it.
  12. It might be the outside low temperature warning that comes on at 3°C to warn of possible ice risk. If so you should be able to accept it if there is an OK button on the radio panel or maybe the ESC button. If it is not this then I have no idea what it is but some thoughts. Is it the seat belt warning ? On our C5 (2007) if a belt is not done up it starts to beep but then gets louder and does not stop until the belt is fastened. Is it due a service shown by the spanner symbol ? Is the radio turned off ? If it is the cabin fan catching, try altering its speed when the peep starts to see if it goes.
  13. Citroen call them roof bars. There are 2 different ones depending on the car date of manufacture (from the rpo number). Plus you need the front and end bits and the threaded fasteners and nuts to bolt them to the roof and new strips (mouldings) with cut outs that go under the roof bars to replace the ones you have. I had a quick look on ebay with the bar part numbers and could not find any so maybe you would need a scrap car or to go to a Citroen dealer. Up to RPO 12585 you need - bars 8361L4 and 8361L5 - mouldings 8320J4 and 8319P0 - end parts 8361L6 and 8361L7 - threaded fasteners 8301EG - not sure but you might need 8 of these but there could be 4 in a pack - nuts 6935C7 - not sure but you might need 8 of these From RPO 12586 you need - bars 96767800VV and 96767801VV - mouldings as before - end parts 1607083580 and 1607085780 - fasteners and nuts as before These part numbers should be checked using your VIN. If you do make the change then the modification will need to be mentioned to your insurance company but it ought not to cost anything unless there is an admin fee. You can see the parts on the parts diagrams which you can see as a free service if you register on the service.citroen site as an other professional non emergency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Once on the site use your VIN top left to find your car. The bars can be found under Bodywork, Roof, Roof Panel. http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres You might need to select your language first. This old ad shows the bits https://www.gumtree.com/p/car-part-accessories/-citroen-c3-picasso-roof-rails/1183051405 I have read that to fit the new fasteners some torx bolts need to be removed which can be difficult since they have sealant on them. The new fasteners will also need sealant. If you have the panoramic roof the part numbers may also be different.
  14. Welcome to the forum. You should get a validating email but there is a problem with the site which needs admin to fix. As a result it is stopping new members from joining and posting topics.
  15. Insurance will use any thing they can to avoid paying out and when you take out or renew your insurance they always ask if there are any modifications. A few years ago there was a case discussed on the radio where a lady had a claim rejected since she had not told the insurer about stickers on the side of the car. It is best to let the insurer know about anything that is not standard and you are covered.
  16. Our Citroens always had the name Citroen at the back, if this is not an official badge then maybe it has replaced the Citroen name. A look at the Citroen parts diagrams for the C5 (X7) only shows a Citroen badge at the left side of the boot. On the right side there are a few options to put under the C5 model badge and include exclusive, bioflex, airdream and ehdi but none are 3.0 HDi. I have not seen a Citroen badge that gives the engine size. It would appear this is a modification and as such ought to be declared to the insurer if you were to purchase the car.
  17. Thank you for this, I have saved a copy just in case I need it as well as edited the title, pinned the topic and included it in the Common Problems topic.
  18. Good to see you managed the job. I will pin this topic since it could be useful for others and will apply to other cars as well as the Picasso.
  19. You might be able to do it by just removing the air ducting and using a pipe from the oil bottle to the breather/filling hole. If I have got the right gearbox, the oil quantity to put in after draining is 2.1 litres. Gearbox box oils tend to be thick so if it is warm it might help. The drain plug should use a new seal and be done up to 40 Nm. If you do decide to remove the battery do not be too quick to disconnect and reconnect it since the bsi needs time to shut down to avoid odd electrical problems. This is from the Common Problems topic: 20. Odd electrical problems caused by wrong battery disconnection procedure. If you need to disconnect the battery and not do a BSI reset procedure, I have found the following has not given me any problems on a 2004 and 2007 C5 and a 2003 C3: - remove the ignition key from the car - open the bonnet - wait a few minutes for the BSI to shut down - disconnect the battery negative terminal When reconnecting - ignition key out of the car - reconnect the battery - wait a few minutes - insert the key in the ignition and wait a minute - turn the key to the first position and wait a minute - turn the key so the dash lights come on and wait a minute - start the engine - take the windows down and up to reset the anti pinch - reset the clock (and radio on the C3).
  20. Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately there is a problem with the forum so people are stuck on Validating and unable to become a full member and start topics/post on the forum. It needs admin to fix but he has not been on here since October 2017 so I do not know when it will be sorted.
  21. Was the horn working the day before the attempted theft or did you only find it was not working after ? Horns only tend to be used at MOT time so if it failed on my car it could be up to a year before I found out.
  22. If you can get to the horn, you could remove its electrical connector and put a volt meter across the connector or a light bulb and get somebody to try the horn button. This will check if it is the horn or the supply to it. What damage was done to your car, anything to the steering wheel ?
  23. The electrical guy will probably need Citroen diagnostic equipment to check your car so I would ask about this before you see him.
  24. I do not know what car it is but things like this can be the result of a bad earth connection or corrosion in the light bulb holder or wiring connector. A faulty bulb could also give problems. So I would check the o/s rear light and its earth connection. You might also have problems if you put the hazards on whilst other lights are on and they may flash a bit as well as the indicator.
  25. You can probably replace the pump seals, there is some info here but the pictures are no longer available via the 3rd party site http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/9041-c5-22-hdi-h-p-diesel-pump-leak-fix/
