Welcome to the forum. The C5 2001 to 2008 model must be one of the largest load carriers for an estate. The Haynes manual covers most things on the 2.2 hdi but not the engine so it is still needed if you do your own maintenance. The French RTA C5 manual covers the 2.2 hdi http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rta-654-1-Citro%C3%ABn-C5-Diesel/dp/2726865410/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1455375261&sr=8-5&keywords=Citroen+C5+book and the Citroen service box covers it (and your other car) and can be obtained through ebay, for example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-Service-Box-1-2014-TIS-EPC-WDS-/381321373493 .

I had a worn drop link on a C3 and that made a lot of noise over bumps. The wear was noticed during the MOT as an advisory but once disconnected the wear was bad. It had only done around 30k miles. To get the right part number you are best to use your VIN (VIS) in the Citroen parts diagrams on service.citroen which is a free service if you register as another professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club http://service.citroen.com/pages/index.jsp You may need to select your language first. Use your VIN top left to find your vehicle and then the top mounts can be found under Mechanical / Suspension assembly / Front springs.

The wires between the car body and tailgate may be damaged since these commonly break due to flexing as the tailgate is opened/closed. If the key fob battery is replaced it needs to be initialised with the car. The procedure is on the handbook and is something like put the key in the ignition, maybe turn it so the dash lights up and then hold down the key lock button until the doors lock.

Welcome to the forum. On the C5 Technical section there is a pinned topic of common problems which is worth looking at. On the 2008 on C5 these include steering rack oil leaks and front wiper motor failure.

Welcome to the forum. It looks as if adding to your existing radio could be expensive, the Ezi-dab and harness are going to be around £250 to £300 and look as if it fastens to the dash somewhere. You would expect a discount from the dealer though since you were possibly mislead but anyway, buying the car from them should give you quite a bit off. http://www.letchworth.citroen.co.uk/after-sales/accessory-selector/ezi-dab-digital-radio-upgrade-kit-1706/ alternative supplier with more info http://www.advanced-incar.co.uk/alpine-ezi-dab-dab-interface-for-headunits The auto dab one looks as if it will be a similar cost and has an aerial stuck on the windscreen http://www.advanced-incar.co.uk/digital-radio-dab/citroen-autodab-digital-dab-radio You could also look into the option of replacing the radio completely but this might give problems with the car. A windscreen aerial may not give best reception and an external one may be needed, see this topic http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/23211-interference-from-alpine-ezi-dab-with-emyway/

Welcome to the forum. In the parts diagrams the only clips shown at the side of the windscreen are part no. 812398 and there are 5 at each side. This ebay listing includes a picture but I do not know how the price compares with genuine ones from a Citroen dealer http://www.ebay.ie/itm/CITROEN-C5-2008-ON-WINDSCREEN-MOULDING-SIDES-CLIP-KIT-PACK-OF-10-OEM-812398-/111873671158?hash=item1a0c30bff6:g:dQUAAOSw5dNWljzD

Name Of That "sound Barrier"? Under The C5S Please?
paul.h replied to Mat07's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
That seems a bit expensive. If it is the 7013T3 part you need, this old ebay listing had a new one for £35.99 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7013T3-Genuine-New-Citroen-C5-I-II-Left-Hand-Undertray-/301390843731?nma=true&si=hI8DlzZmxCxHJelwGgJaTs96bCw%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 You could try a message to coastline taxis to see if he has a used one since he sometimes has parts available. You could also try a C5 being advertised on ebay as being broken for parts such as this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-C5-PAINT-CODE-EYCC-2-2HDI-DIESEL-BREAKING-FOR-PARTS-SPARES-WHEEL-BOLT-/222007506286?hash=item33b0adb56e:g:6akAAOSwwbdWG7Dy Putting your car details in your signature is a good idea and I have just started to do it myself for the cars in my family. -
Searches against these fault codes come up with a few things to check but it may not be any of these - wiring and connectors on the fuel system, worn fuel injector checked by a leak off test, fuel filter needing priming, fuel filter blocked needing replacing, fuel pump problem. Note that no 1 cylinder is at the gearbox end.

Name Of That "sound Barrier"? Under The C5S Please?
paul.h replied to Mat07's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
If this is for the 2005 hatchback mentioned in your previous topic it might be called an air deflector and Citroen part no. 7013T3 This part is the same as on the mark 1 C5 and also the estate. There do not seem to be any on ebay. On the parts diagrams it can be found under Bodywork / Front section / Underbody protection / Underbody protection. If you do not yet have access to the parts diagrams register on service.citroen as another professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Then use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your car http://service.citroen.com/pages/index.jsp This is a free service. -
Welcome to the forum. This is from page 78 of a handbook for 2010: BOOT (TOURER) Manual opening ï† Press upwards on lever A (tailgate opening switch) and lift up the tailgate. but it then says - Do not attempt to help the opening of the tailgate manually after pressing the control A . Manual closing ï† Lower the tailgate using the interior handle C . Electric closing ï† Press the push-button D (red switch at the bottom of the tailgate) to close the tailgate. Do not interrupt the closing of the tailgate; if any obstacle prevents it closing, the operation will stop and the tailgate will automatically rise by a few centimetres. Interrupting the opening/ closing of the tailgate When the tailgate is being opened or closed electrically, you can interrupt its movement at any point by pressing push-button D , the control A or button B on the remote key. You can then open or close the tailgate electrically or manually, if necessary moving it in the opposite direction to release it.

This could be why the previous owner sold the car.

If it does not turn over then it is not a crankshaft sensor or an ignition coil since these would let the engine turn over but just not let it start. A search on 'sensodrive fault preventing starting' comes up with lots of topics including this one which was fixed by a new clutch actuator for £660 for a Citroen C2. http://www.c2club.co.uk/showthread.php?14788-2004-VTR-SensoDrive-problem-Beeps-Snowflake-and-Auto-flash-non-responsive-gearbox There is also lots of info here http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39741

Here For A Day And Question Already . . . Front Crossmember?
paul.h replied to C5&aMGF's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
You may have already seen on here or in the handbook, but if you need to jack the car up first raise the suspension to max height and remove the key from the ignition to avoid any possible suspension problems. Also do not go under the car without using axle stands since if a height sensor on an anti roll bar is caught the suspension can quickly drop to a very low height. -
Without a meter you could use a 12 volt bulb and a couple of bits of wire to check at the motor and switch

It looks like the 5081G0 part so if you look at the parts diagram you can see what fixings are missing. -
How Do I Change Indicator Bulb On Citreon Xsara Picasso
paul.h replied to poolielad's topic in Technical Section
According to the Haynes manual it should be easy to change. Twist the bulbholder anti-clockwise to release it from the upper rear of the headlight unit and the bulb is a bayonet fit in the holder. -
Welcome to the forum. I found this through a search and it explains how to remove the arm rest with a bit of force and correct positioning of the arm http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42749

If you have not yet obtained a copy of the C5 Haynes manual, you can see a copy of it here through post 13 http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/8163-haynes-manual-for-c5/ The engine undershield may be Citroen part no. 7013N9 . Sometimes the fixings rust away but a few nuts/bolts/large washers can be used but on our 2007 the front clips/hog rings had to come from the dealer but they did not cost much. The bar might be part no. 5081G0 and if so can be found under Mechanical / Front anti roll bar -
Is the car a 2004 to 2008 or a 2008 on C5 ? How many miles has it done ? How long has the problem been occurring, was it before you replaced the turbo and cleaned the egr valve and why did you replace the turbo ? Does the problem happen if you very carefully/slowly push the accelerator pedal down and what are the engine revs doing during this ? Is it as though the pedal does nothing for the first part of its travel ?

Welcome to the forum. The 3 beeps on the C3 cover a few warnings and they will be listed in the handbook somewhere but from memory are things like the battery voltage is low (I used to get this on our 2003 C3) or the fuel tank level is low but in your case it may just be because the engine has stalled. If the Citroen garage did a diagnostic check and did not find any fault codes stored then a possibility could be the crankshaft sensor is failing. These often start to fail when warmed up and stop the engine, but once cooled down again will let the engine start. Eventually they may prevent the engine starting. A new one is only about £20 so is worth a try and it will probably be located on top of the bell housing (depending on the engine size/petrol or diesel). If it always happens when the steering is turned then you could try to see if this happens with the car stationary and turning the steering wheel. If it is a petrol engine then sometimes the ignition coil pack/cassette can fail which could also give the fault. If you replace this then also replace the spark plugs. The loss of brakes I assume you mean with the engine stalled the servo assistance was lost requiring a strong push on the brake pedal for the brakes to work - if so this is normal but there should have been 1 or 2 uses of the brake pedal before it went hard after the engine stopped.

Welcome to the forum. You could check the wiring between the driver's door and body for damage due to flexing over the years. Then it may be a case of removing the driver's door panel and checking the motor and wiring. If you have a meter you could check for voltage at the switch and then at the motor.
