No halfords can not do this. Dont let the monkeys in Halfords fit it. I know from what my friend said most of them have about as much training as you do in stereo installs. Which im guessing is pretty much nothing. According to my friend who worked there they have no formal training in fitting the auto systems. And its not difficult anyway. Get adaptor if needed plug into original stereo wire then plug into new headunit. Put new cradle in bend few bits of metal back. Push headunit into new cradle until it clicks. Job done. Honestly its not difficult to fit a headunit. It can be done inside of 10 minutes by someone without much of an idea about what there doing. And especially do not go to Halfords for audio equipment. They dont just charge a little more than charge a hell of a lot more. For instance my headunit was £280 when I bought it. WHen halfords had it on display as the flagship unit they had it up for over £700. Halfords bad. Theres a reason they get called Hellfrauds.

Well on my way to Donnington services i managed 26mpg...But I did make it from My drive to Donnington via Leeds in just over an hour. On the way back which took a lot longer due to me needing to stop and sleep. Longest 14 miles of my life waiting to get to those services I was so tired. But Way back including the trip in the morning I managed to bump that back up to 33mpg. Managed over 400 miles from the tank as well. And now babying it around town its sitting at just over 36mpg.

20mpg in bad traffic etc. Yeah. Motorway 30+ is doable. But you dont buy a big yank car to worry about the MPG there just fun to drive. I would love a go of that new VXR8. 6.0 out of the corvette cant go wrong. Sod the MPG.

Yep looks like they have deleted Yellow :/ Along with the decent interiors... Only get black and grey on the VTR+ now no orange or blue like you could get before.

You can get adaptors which sort that out. Most audio places will have them.

All the new big V8's coming out do that shut down 4 of the cylinders. Also got to think US gallon is smaller than ours. So when you see figures on sites for vettes / mustangs camaros etc saying 28mpg thats over 30mpg here. Which is about what I get on my C4 now.

Those big 6 litre V8's depending on the car there in actually get decent MPG considering. Know someone with a corvette and couple of people were rather surprised and said he was talking rubbish that he could get 35mpg out of it. Then one of the guys rented one while he was in the states...he has since decided there one of the best cars ever. 30+mpg isnt difficult and the power was great. But then again what car with between 400 and 500hp is designed to give good MPG? Its a sports car MPG plays a less important role.

I say wicked red. I personally think it shows the lines of the car off better. black would be my next choice. However think if I was buying a new VTS it would have to be scott yellow. As I loved dave and traces VTS.

Check theres no rubbish on the wipers they should leave no trails at all. Might need a wipe to get some muck off them. Pulling to the left mines similar but I had a slightly impact on my wheel still marked now which I think was the causes was not my fault someone drove into the side of me at a red light.

Looking at the Australian versions of the C4 looks like you get less in most equipment specs than the equivalent here. Even the VTS doesn't have everything we get as standard here. But the VTS is very different in France as well. You can get a 1.6 VTS out there.

Try the other forum mate theres a few more C4 owners there now who might be willing to group together with you and get it. Plus if you have a paid membership there you get around £40 off the remap anyway as well as other discounts.

Keep manuals etc in the folder under the passenger seat. But the glove box gets quite a lot of junk in it still. Manchester A to Z, Drinks, CD's etc. Never had a problem.

Going to book mine in tomorrow to finally get my seat sorted out. But I also noticed last night a noise coming from the passenger side that was never there before its a sort of whooshing sound. Checked tyres, trim etc around it but cant see anything that could cause it so taking it in.

Most big rims Tramline anyway though. It cant really be helped. And vauxhalls have never been known for there handling prowess. It took them till they had lotus building cars for them to get any decent handling. same to this day I mean look at the corsa / Atra VXR / Vectra...Not exactly cars that give you confidence in the cornering department.

Do the right thing buy a C4 not a C5 :P

The VXR isn't a particularly good car though when it comes to handling and upping the power. I know the megane R26 is supposed to be brilliant to drive even with a remap etc but the LSD and the suspension setup helps there. Personally though id rather have a rear wheel drive or AWD car when power gets to those levels. Have been looking at a couple cars recently had a look at a rather nice Saleen Mustang. But too expensive for what you get.

They are a load of rubbish do you honestly think a PC fan is gonna feed enough air into an engine for it to make a difference...Utter crap.If anything its gonna end up restricting the intake. Stay well clear.
