  1. Sorry to pull up an old post... However it appears that the people in the video "had no idea they were not allowed to follow bus drivers through the bollards" Link Cue the excuses....
  2. Cool...have you chosen a forum name for her yet?
  3. Believe it or not, it is. As a forum it’s very heavily moderated as I am sure you can appreciate the responses to almost all of the topics are considered more than a little more than terse. Makes this forum look like a grans lunchtime tea circle. <_< You get read the problems people cause themself by removing critial walls in their houses and their efforts to rectify and also frightning electrics.... Depends on what it is you are doing Stuey..... :(
  4. Really?....whats the bet for the face lift version they do something daft like change the shape of the smelly in the facelift version so there is the Mk1 and Mk2. We'd be stuck with the original smells and the Mk2 will get all the new ones. To be honest I have never used them yet as I am trying to maintain the new car smell as long as I can! :( ...besides which as discussed before on this forum, I dont want my car smelling of Flash Bathroom Cleaner or a Tarts handbag! Off topic - talking of smells.... I thought I'd share this gem with you... :( I was reading a Construction forum and one of the topics was a chap who is rendering his bathroom ready for tiling. As he was knocking up the render in his garden he noticed that it had a funny smell. Once spread on the wall he noticed that as there was a patch drying back a different colour. Turned out his cats had sh1te in the sand and was now liberally spread across his walls  <_< mmmmmmmmmm
  5. did he take a deep breath, suck his teeth, sigh and scratch his chin when he said that?!...he should be a plumber/builder! Did he also sigh and say "its not gonig to be cheap"? In all seriousness I would avoid driving it unless it is going to the garage as you could be doing more damage than the original fault... :(
  6. One of the things on my list of to dos.... anything above 45mph and the window get buffeted about abit and doesnt seat back in the frame properly..only on passenger side though.
  7. Great job, As much as these places always have a bad reputation, you find a good one and look after them they can get you out of some tight and sticky situations. Had a puncture the other week and caught them as they were litterally locking the door, even though I said not to worry the lad was as helpful as could be and stayed on bunged him some cash for the work.
  8. To prevent the risk of causing more damage than its worth 5quid will buy you a can of emergency puncture foam, order up from citroen a new "key" and wait. Chiseling off locking wheel nuts is a recipe for disaster. A slip of the chisel will wreck your wheels and cause potential other damage. Once off and if you want to change surley aftermarket nuts are cheaper?
  9. Blige :P :D
  10. Stuey You are a hard man.... :D :P :D http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/9087/dvaderqo7.jpg
  11. I think if you have CD's with CD Text added at manufacture then it may be useful in that it "might" tell you the song you are listening too, Only problem is that CD Text never really caught on and Sony labels were the only ones that really ever bothered. And those that did didnt do it to every release. What about some new scented air freshners for the new releases?! New Cars - New Smells....I wish they'd make a "New Car" Smell refill...
  12. What was the Dr's verdict on the clutch Ciaran?
  13. What other things yuou got to get sorted? I'm compiling a small list of far from major jobs/issues that need to be sorted by the dealer and will get it booked in for a one hit job. So far the list stands at 1. Bulkhead sound insulation panel fixings broken and rattles 2. Passenger Door speaker area rattles like it has loose nuts and bolts in it. 3. Headlamp Washer jet washing the road road sweeper stylee 4. Passenger window is sometimes reluctant to close on the first flick of the button. I'm hoping that will be it for now....
  14. Try here for images
  15. Handy if you can read mirror image! Look at the numbers!
  16. Hold down the door locking button this will set the auto locking feature on. To turn it off hold down the lock button again for a long press. You will get a confirmation on the screen
  17. If you want something wilder than a Focus ST...subtle looks old school hot hatch what about a Mazda 3 MPS? 256bhp 0-60 6.1 secs
  18. I'd imagine dificult enough and would imagine be more than just fitting a screen with a different dash panel. Finding one (that works after crash) might be the biggest problem...not all VTS have them fitted for a start.
  19. Other than bolting a turbo on to the current 2.0 lump is there anyhting else/similar in the PSA range that could be used? With the assumption of the 1.6 Turbo engine being used in the C4, as my previous post, I'm not convinced where this will put the VTS in respect of all the other manufacturers top sporting models and how competitive it will be.... There is a Golf on the market with a 1.4 (167bhp) engine and a turbo and supercharger...just wondered if anything similar could be done with the new ranges? Link
  20. I believe they do - but I borrowed one out of my neighbours Mini  Wow... Where do I get one? The bloke across the road has a RX8 do they have them?
  21. I think its a topic about grey as a grey thing on a grey day. Red Text = Get Out Clause The only reason it passes the MOT is because it isnt the HID Bulbs that are being tested! Safety - So you will want to be seeing "E" marked or "CE" on the bulb... if not they are illegal. If Bobby stops you and sees no marks he/she is within their right to deem your car unfit to drive. This was an issue with Halfrauds selling high power bulbs without these marks. Everytime we sold one we had to explain for off road use only... Emmissions - Are they the worlds first auto scented bulbs?
  22. Only operate when you have lights on and you wash the windscreen. Might be worth checking that they actually spray the lights and not the tarmac as two of us have recently found out....me being one of them
  23. At nearly a 100 quid a piece an extra 10ers worth of quality makes no odds to the cost.... Bit of a different story if it was £3.50 + VAT
  24. Just out of curiosity check mine today and they do exactly the same as above. Get a small amount of water on the lights but a good jet washing of the drive.... Looks like it is going to have to go in....
  25. Its because they dont rely on lenses to refract the beam. I bet if you look at a car with normal lenses and one with HID, one will be clear and the other will have moulded refractors/direction... By keeping the lens clear this eliminates any issue of the beams being distorted in the case of the HID....hence why the spray jets....
